The campus of Doon Valley Public School, Nalagarh was jubilant with the cheerful and jovial sounds of students while celebrating the 67th Independence Day. The entire school was covered by a sea of Safforn, White and Green, the colours of the Indian flag and children could be heard singing and shouting slogans based on patriotic songs.
The day started with the morning prayer and the flag hoisting was done by the Chairman, Rajeev Sharma accompanied by Secretary, Anoop Sharma and Principal, Namita Lal. The students delivered motivational speeches during this occasion through which they paid homage to all those freedom fighters and martyrs who had sacrificed their lives to liberate India from the clutches of the Britishers and endured torture and injustice at their hands, which finally paved way for India’s freedom. This was followed by some exhilarating patriotic song and dance performances by children.
The programme concluded with an inspirational speech by the Principal, Namita Lal,
who urged every citizen to safeguard the hard-earned freedom.
