The Dharampur Assembly Constituency is reeling from the aftermath of a recent natural disaster that severely impacted essential infrastructure, including 70 water supply schemes under the Jal Shakti Department. Despite adverse conditions and challenging terrain, the department’s workforce has managed to partially restore 48 of these schemes, providing much-needed relief to affected areas.
Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri stated that restoration efforts for the remaining schemes are progressing on a war footing, with the objective of restoring full functionality as quickly as possible. He commended the dedication and resilience of departmental staff, who continued their duties despite the dangers posed by the disaster and turbulent waters.
“The government is according top priority to restoring basic services in disaster-affected regions,” said Agnihotri. “The people of Dharampur will not be left to suffer, and all efforts are being made to restore normalcy at the earliest.”
He further assured that the State Government is active at every level to ensure uninterrupted water supply and other essential services to the residents. Expressing confidence, he said that all affected schemes will soon be fully operational, ensuring regular and reliable water access for the public.
