After a successful two year run as an online website — www.keekli.in — Keekli An Ode To innocence launched its first print editon on 31st August, 2015. Rani Pratibha Singh graced the occasion as the chief guest, who was warmly greeted by the Editor Vandana Bhagra and Bureau Chief Amit Doegar. Smt Singh witnessed a gala cultural event comprising of scintillating performances by the school students, after which she launched the newspaper. During the day an Inter-School Painting Competition was also held, and awards were given to the winners as well as the KEEKLI Reporters.

Shemrock Buttercups Kids Brighten the Day

Little tiny tots of Shemrock Buttercups Play School, Khalini, made the day bright and sunny for their parents with some mesmerizing performances during the Annual Day “Showcase 2015” organized at the Gaiety Theater here today. She highlighted the motive of the school and said that it’s the hard work and care that the school tries to provide to each and every student that helps in developing confidence in them. भारद्वाज पब्लिक स्कूल ने मनाया वार्षिक समारोह; बच्चों ने की लघु नाटिका प्रस्तुत

भारद्वाज पब्लिक स्कूल द्वारा बुधवार को कालीबाड़ी हाल में वार्षिक समारोह आयोजित किया गया। इस कार्यक्रम में उधम सिंह ठाकुर ने मुख्य अतिथि के तौर पर शिरकत की। मुख्यातिथि ने दीप प्रज्जवलित कर समारोह की शुरूआत की। समारोह के शुरूआत बच्चों ने सरस्वती वंदना से की। इसके बाद बच्चों ने रंगारंग कार्यक्रम प्रस्तुत किये। इसमें मुख्य रूप से ग्रुप सोंग, ग्रुप डांस, एकल डांस, नाटी, झमाकडा आदि कई प्रस्तुतिया बच्चों की ओर से प्रस्तुत की गई। बच्चों की ओर से एक लघु नाटिका भी प्रस्तुत की गई।

जिला के कन्या वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशाला ठियोग में गांधी जयंती के उपलक्ष्य में स्वच्छता दिवस मनाया गया। इस दौरान विद्यालय में भाषण एवं स्वच्छता पर आधारित प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिताओं का भी आयोजन किया गया। इन प्रतियोगिताओं में स्कूलों के चारों सदनों की छात्राओं ने भाग लिया। इस दौरान आयोजित भाषण प्रतियोगिता में पदमिनि सदन की छात्रा प्रिया ने प्रथम, जबकि इंदिरा सदन की रीतिका ने दूसरा स्थान हासिल किया इसके अलावा रानी झांसी सदन की छात्रा साक्षी तीसरे स्थान पर रही। इसी तरह स्वच्छता प्रश्नोत्तरी प्रतियोगिता में विद्यालय की कनिष्ठ वर्ग की छात्राओ ने बेहतर प्रदर्शन करते हुए वरिष्ठ वर्ग को हराकर सभी को आश्चर्यचकित कर दिया।

भारत विकास परिषद द्वारा शाखा व राज्य स्तरीय प्रतियोगिता भारत विकास परिषद शिमला द्वारा राजधानी शिमला के कालीबाड़ी सभागार में शाखा स्तरीय प्रश्नोतरी व राज्य स्तरीय समूहगान प्रतियोगिता आयोजित की। इस प्रतियोगिता में राजधानी के कई स्कूलों के छात्रों ने भाग लिया। रविवार को आयोजित इस प्रतियोगिता के प्रथम सत्र में प्रश्नोतरी स्पर्धा का आयोजन किया गया। प्रतियोगिता के कनिष्ठ वर्ग में डीएवी पब्लिक स्कूल न्यू शिमला के मनन शर्मा व दिव्यम गौतम ने पहला स्थान हासिल किया, जबकि सरस्वती पैराडाइज स्कूल के अभ्य व अतरिक्ष मैहता ने द्वितीय और दयानंद पब्लिक स्कूल की प्रज्ञा व प्रांशु शर्मा ने तृतीय स्थान प्राप्त किया।

मंगलवार को गंगा पब्लिक हाई स्कूल खलीणी का दो दिवसीय वार्षिक स्कूल का कॉन्सर्ट मंगलवार को संपन्न हुआ। इस कार्यक्रम का शुभारम्भ स्कूल की प्रबंधक सुनीता शर्मा द्वारा दीप प्रज्जवलित कर किया गया। कार्यक्रम में छात्रों ने पहाड़ी नाटियां प्रस्तुत कर वहां मौजूद दर्शकों की खूब वाहवाही लूटी। इस दौरान के.जी. कक्षा की छात्राओं ने चिटियां कलाईयां गीत पर मनमोहक नृत्य प्रस्तुत किया। इसके साथ ही टिनी टोटस ने अपनी राइम्स और फराट नाल गीत से सभी का मंनोरंजन किया। हिन्दी नाटक पैसों का पेड़ के कलाकारों हॢषक, तमन्ना, रितेश, प्रियांशु, जतिन ने परोपकार का संदेश दिया।

Two-Day International Conference on Social Change and Development

राष्ट्रीय माध्यमिक शिक्षा अभियान (रामसा) के तहत शिक्षा विभाग और हिमाचल पुलिस विभाग के सौजन्य से जिला शिमला के राजकीय वरिष्ठ कन्या माध्यमिक पाठशाला रोहडू में 4 सितंबर से आयोजित 12 दिवसीय आत्म रक्षा प्रशिक्षण शिविर बुधवार को सम्पन्न हो गया है। इस प्रशिक्षण अभियान में पुलिस विभाग के प्रशिक्षक कमल किशोर ने छात्राओं को आत्म रक्षा के गुर सिखाए। 12 दिवसीय इस शिविर में करीब 400 स्कूली छात्राओं ने भाग लिया। इस अभियान के तहत प्रदेश के सभी स्कूलों में ऐसे प्रशिक्षण शिविर आयोजित किए जाएंगे, जिसमें छठी से दसवीं तक पढऩे वाली छात्राओं को आत्म रक्षा के गुर सिखाएं जाएंगे।

राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशाला पोर्टमोर की छात्राएं तकनीकी सोच को मॉडल का रूप देगी। यह सब भारत सरकार के राष्ट्रीय अविष्कार अभियान के तहत किया जा रहा है। पोर्टमोर स्कूल देश का पहला स्कूल है, जहां से इस अभियान की शुरुआत की जा रही है। इसी कड़ी के तहत आईटी कम्पनी इंटेल की तरफ से तीन दिवसीय कार्यशाला का स्कूल में आयोजन किया जा रहा। राष्ट्रीय अविष्कार अभियान की लॉचिंग भारत सरकार और मानव संसाधन विकास मंत्रालय ने 9 जुलाई को दिल्ली से की थी। प्रधानंमत्री नरेन्द्र मोदी के मेक इंन इंडिया थीम पर यह कार्यक्रम आधारित है। लड़कियों के विशेषतौर पर यह अभियान चलाया जा रहा है। कार्यशाला के पहले दिन भारत सरकार के राष्ट्रीय आविष्कार अभियान को बारे में छात्राओं को जानकारी दी गई। अगले दो दिनों में इस कार्यशाला में चयनित छात्राओं के इन्नोवेटिव आईडियाज पर एक्सपर्ट की मदद से काम किया जाएगा। आयोजकों का कहना है कि इस अभियान को पूरे देश में चलाया जाएगा और अधिक से अधिक लड़कियों को इसमें जोड़ा जाएगा।

कबड्डी में नेरवा बेडमिंटन में रोहड़ू ब्लॉक अव्वल; विधायक बलवीर वर्मा ने सम्मानित किए विजेता; अंडर 14 छात्रों की जिला स्तरीय खेलकूद प्रतियोगिता गवर्नमेंट सीनियर; सेकेंडरी स्कूल चौपाल में सम्पन्न हो गई। इस प्रतियोगिता मे शिमला जिला के 20 खंडों के करीब 774 छात्रों ने भाग लिया।

जिला स्तरीय कबड्डी प्रतियोगिता में नेरवा ब्लॉक ने शानदार प्रदर्शन करते हुए पहला स्थान प्राप्त किया, जबकि रोहड़ू ब्लॉक दूसरे स्थान पर रहा। इसके अलावा वॉलीबॉल मे रोहड़ू ब्लॉक ने नेरवा को हराकर जीत हासिल की। इसी तरह खो-खो में ठियोग ब्लॉक पहले जबकि देहा स्कूल दूसरे स्थान पर रहा। बैडमिंटन प्रतियोगिता में भी रोहड़ू ब्लॉक ने बेहतर प्रदर्शन किया और ठियोग ब्लॉक को हराया। भाषण प्रतियोगिता में सराहन ब्लॉक पहले जबकि रोहडू द्वितीय स्थान पर रहा। जिला स्तरीय खेलकूद प्रतियोगिता में योगा स्पधा भी करवाई गई। इसमें मतियाना अव्वल रहा, जबकि मार्च पास्ट में मशोबरा ब्लॉक पहले स्थान पर रहा। एथैलेटिक्स में फिर से रोहड़ू ब्लॉक ने शानदार प्रदर्शन किया और पहला स्थान झटका। इसके अतिरिक्त लोकनृृत्य में मशोबरा पहले व ठियोग दूसरे स्थान पर रहा।

It is often said that a teacher affects eternity; he can never tell where his /her influence stops and one such day to honour and value teachers is September 5 popularly known as Teachers’ Day. Dr S. Radhakrishnan, whose birth anniversary is celebrated as Teachers’ Day every year was an ideal teacher with a very strong character. He was born on 5th September, 1888 and when he became the President of India, people approached him and requested him to allow them to celebrate Sept 5, but in reply he said instead of celebrating my birthday it would be my privilege if this day is observed as Teacher’s Day.

Principal of Loreto Convent Tara Hall School, Sister Stephanie graced the occasion with her presence and appreciated the efforts made by students and lauded the patience of the teachers for teaching young tiny tots to perform so well on the stage considering their tender age. The event started with lighting of lamp by Sister which was followed by a prayer to thank god for blessings bestowed upon each one of us. The students of all sections together then performed a welcome dance.

नैशनल प्रतियोगिता के लिए 42 खिलाडिय़ों का चयन केंद्रीय विद्यालय जाखू के छात्रों ने प्रत्येक वर्ष की तरह इस वर्ष भी खेलकूद प्रतियोगिताओं में बेहतर प्रदर्शन कर स्कूल का नाम रोशन किया है और कई उपलब्धियां हासिल की है। केंद्रीय विद्यालय संगठन चंडीगढ़ संभाग (चंडीगढ़ रीजन) द्वारा 9 से 14 अगस्त तक विभिन्न केंद्रीय विद्यालयों खेलकूद प्रतियोगिताएं संपन्न हुई। इस प्रतियोगिता में भी जाखू हिल्स शिमला ने अपने पिछले वर्षों के रिकॉर्ड को तोड़ते हुए अपनी उपलब्धियों में नए कीर्तिमान बनाए हैं। संभागीय स्तर पर कुल 112 प्रतिभा खिलाडिय़ों ने प्रतिस्पर्धाओं में भाग लिया। जिसमें टीम इवेंट्स में बास्केट बॉल अंडर-19 बालिका वर्ग, बास्केट बालू अंडर-14 बालिका वर्ग, वालीबॉल अंडर-19 बालिका वर्ग में स्वर्ण पदक हासिल किया है। बालक वर्ग में अंडर 19 बास्केटबॉल रजत पदक और बास्केटबॉल अंडर -14 बालक वर्ग में कांस्य पदक प्राप्त किया है। इसी प्रकार एकल प्रतियोगिता में 11 स्वर्ण पदक, 6 रजत और 5 कांस्य पदक प्राप्त किए है।

एसवीएम के छात्र खो-खो में पहले; कबड्डी में हासिल किया दूसरा स्थान

जिला शिमला के राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशाला खटनोल में एनएसएस छात्रों ने पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम का आयोजन किया। इसमें स्कूल के करीब 100 छात्रों ने भाग लिया। यह पौधारोपण कार्यक्रम अधिकारी दलीप कुमार एवं नीति चौधरी के मार्गदर्शन में कार्य संपन्न किया। इस मौके पर पाठशाला के प्रधानाचार्य डॉ. मोहन लाल एवं अन्य अध्यापक एवं प्राध्यापक भी उपस्थित रहे। इस एक दिवसीय शिविर में एनएसएस के विद्यार्थियों ने पौधा रोपण के साथ-साथ एक पर्यावरण जागरूकता रैली, विद्यालय प्रांगण की साफ-सफाई, गांव के साथ लगते रास्तों से झांडियां व कूड़ा कर्कट की साफ सफाई कर उन्हें एकत्रित कर नष्ट किया किया।

Brilliant Acting Skills Showcased by Cottonions — Inter House English One Act Plays

The famous American Academy winner actor Bruce Davison once said “A good actor is somebody who can be truthful and fascinating and interesting and enlightening”, the amateur actors of Bishop Cotton School showcased their magnificent acting skills and imbibed the four characteristics described by Davison by presenting some breathtaking plays during the Inter House English One Act Play Competition 2015 held here today. The chief guest for the occasion was the Headmaster, R. C. Robinson.

Cottonians Celebrate Independence Day with Enthusiasm & Passion

The cheerful and patriotic zeal marked the 69th Independence Day celebrations in various schools across India, and the students of Bishop Cotton School, Shimla too celebrated this day with great fervor here today in the school premise. The celebration began with the traditional guard of honour by the Cottonions given to the chief guest for the morning, Headmaster, R.C. Robinson. The impressive show was followed by the unfurling of the national flag by the chief guest. The three wings of NCC — the Army, Navel and the Air Force — performed the parade with sheer perfection on the beats of school band. On the dismissal of the parade everybody applauded their efforts. The parade ended with a loud and proud tune of the National Anthem.

Independence Day Celebration at Shimla YWCA

69th Independence Day celebrations were held on 15th August 2015 at 02:00 pm at the YWCA of Simla. The celebration started with a plantation drive initiated by the students and members of YWCA of Simla. The programme started with a welcome note by the General Secretary, YWCA of Simla, followed by a speech by Amanpreet, a student. A message on this occasion was also delivered by Satyawan Pundir, Secretary, Himachal Gyan Vigyan Samiti. He stressed on how casteism, communalism, discrimination on social and economic basis, etc. are obstacles in our way forward and that our country can progress if we all share the same vision i.e. to eliminate such obstacles.

Independence Day Celebrations at Chapslee School

The 69th Independence Day was celebrated with much enthusiasm and zeal at the Chapslee Public School, Bharari, where the School Principal and Director Pronati Singh accompanied by her staff hoisted the Indian Flag to pay tribute to the martyrs. The students were present in full strength and sung the National Anthem in respect of the sacrifices made by our patriots. Narrations were read on the importance of the day and the need to become the future torch bearers of the nation. The morning ended with distribution of sweets.

बायचड़ी में अंडर-19 खेलकूद प्रतियोगिता संपन्न; खलग स्कूल रहा ओवरऑल विजेता

राजकीय वरिष्ठ माध्यमिक पाठशाला बाईचड़ी में आयोजित की जा रही 4 दिवसीय जिला शिमला की खंड स्तरीय अंडर-19 खेलकूद प्रतियोगिता का शुक्रवार को संपन्न हुई। समापन अवसर पर पुर्व सांसद प्रतिभा सिंह ने बतौर मुख्यातिथि शिरकत की। इस प्रतियोगिता में खलग स्कूल ओवरऑल चैंपियन रहा। इस प्रतियोगिता में कबड्डी का मुकाबला शोघी व बालूगंज के बीच खेला गया, जिसमें रावमापा बालूगंज विजयी रहा। इसी तरह खो-खो के मुकाबले में रा.व.मा.पा. घणाहट्टी ने शोघी स्कूल को हराकर अव्वल रहा। वॉलीबाल मुकाबले में रा.व.मा.पा. टुटू ने खलग स्कूल को हरकार विजयी प्राप्त की। वहीं बैडमिंटन में लालपानी स्कूल ने घणाहट्टी को हराकर बाजी मारी।

Youth Fest Concludes with Dry Cooking, Rangoli & Quiz Competition — St Thomas School

The youth fest concluded with great enthusiasm and festivities as St Thomasians showcase their culinary, artistic as well mental skills. The morning began as the students participated in the dry cooking inter-house competition, and created quite a few delectable’s. The dry ingredients were brought from home and students were asked to prepare a delicious food item in an hours’ time. The winners of the dry cooking competition were : 1st Kasturi House; 2nd Shipkila; 3rd Toshqui; 4th Chinar.

Regal Tiny Tots Celebrate 15th August with Great Fervour

The spirit of patriotism was celebrated by the students of Regal Public School, here today as Principal Manmohan Khanna and the staff were present to teach the little one about the importance of the day. Dressed in white kurtas, green dhotis and saffron jackets, and a Nehru cap, the children looked very cute and charming. During the celebrations, the little ones were seen dancing to the tune of “Pagal Stupid Man” and many other Bollywood numbers which was part of the cultural program.

AHS Girls Reflect on History with An Art, Craft and Multi-Disciplinary Exhibition

To mark the celebration of the 69th Independence Day, a function was organized at Auckland House Girls School as the programme began with the hoisting of our National Flag, followed by a Hymn ‘Land of Our Birth’, a reading from the scriptures and an impressive narrations in both English and Hindi respectively through which the students acknowledged the sacrifices of our freedom fighters, who laid down their lives, so that we could breathe in free India. The students performed various dances on patriotic songs and performed a skit reflecting on the freedom struggle by brave heroes of the nation.
