Every year on 20 February, the world observes World Day of Social Justice, established by the United Nations in 2009. The day emphasizes the importance of fairness, equal opportunities, and inclusive development. It calls for collective efforts to eradicate poverty, discrimination, unemployment, and social exclusion while promoting human rights and equality for all. The same date also marks Arunachal Pradesh Foundation Day, commemorating the formation of Arunachal Pradesh as a full-fledged state of India on 20 February 1987. Situated in the northeastern part of the country, the day celebrates the state’s official recognition and its journey of growth and development within the Indian Union.
