orchid.3.8.15aA dental check-up camp was held in Orchid Prep School, here today in the school premises as Dr. Viney Bhardwaj, Assistant Professor, IGMC, did an oral examination of the students. During his visit Dr Bhardwaj checked about 55 students and made them aware about oral hygiene. A talk was also delivered to the children about good healthy habits, such as brushing of teeth twice a day and eating few sweets. He then distributed toothpaste to all the children. Members of the Inner Wheel Club of Shimla were also a part of this oral hygiene camp.

orchid.3.8.15bTo further create an impressionable affect of the benefits of brushing, the children recited a poem My Tooth Brush. After a small interactive session with the children and few games, certificates were given to the winners, namely Eva and Palak from Play Class, Arush from Pre-Nursery, Raunak from Nursery, Sanwi from Kindergarten and Khushwant from Class I.

Orchid School Principal Neelam Vij said, “We regularly organize such health camps or workshops to educate children and make them aware of the positives of following a healthy routine. Today’s camp is one such example when children are taught about good oral habits and hygiene”.
