Human Beings

Manju Sood, Former Primary Teacher, Hainault Public School

I know, you know, we all know
that we shouldn’t tell lie.
But still we lie a lot
Why?
Because we’re human beings.

I know, you know, we all know
that we shouldn’t hate anybody.
But still we hate people
Why?
Because we are bad human beings.

I know, you know, we all know
that we shouldn’t play politics
But still we play lots of politics
Why?
Because we are very very cunning human being

I know, you know, we all know
that we should be good human beings
We try to be sometimes
But we fail to do so
Why?
Because we are not good human being.

“Friends”
Always remember my advice
“Come what may
Always try to be
Good Human Beings.”

Then “God will bless you”
And
“You will be Super-Duper”
Human Beings

My Mother

Manju Sood, Former Primary Teacher, Hainault Public School

super-mom

I love my maa, mom and mother
As
She takes care of me and my brother.
Oh!
Listen, one thing – I have to tell
That
She manages office and home so well;
With
Her wonderful working skills.
And
She is as cool as the Shimla Hills
That’s why
I pray to ‘God’ to give long life
To
My dear papa’s “wife”.

Generation Gap

Manju Sood, Former Primary Teacher, Hainault Public School

Has anybody ever worn that cap,
Which could fill the generation gap?
However high one may fly
Even beyond the sky.

But the fact is that the two generations
Could never be good friends.
They would keep blaming one another
But would never compromise with each other

Youngsters say we are right
Oldies say they might be right
But it is our right to be always right,
Now, think how to stop this fight?

Find a solution and let everybody share
Coz now we don’t want to bear
And want to sit on a same chair
Whether with black or grey hair.
