St. Thomas Shimla Hosts Population Day Awareness Event

An awareness program was organized at St. Thomas School, Shimla, on the occasion of World Population Day. The event was conducted by Yuva Mandal Bhadech with support from My Yuva Bharat, under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, Shimla office.

The program was presided over by the school Principal, Vidhupriya Chakravarty. During the event, students shared their thoughts on critical issues such as population explosion, its impact on the nation, and the associated socio-economic challenges.

Notable speakers included Sakshi Verma, Palak, Jia, Lakshya Verma, Kritika, Naysha Thakur, and Akash, who highlighted various aspects of population-related concerns.

School teacher Surendra Sharma provided an in-depth presentation, offering detailed insights on the subject. At the conclusion of the program, Principal Chakravarty and Vice-Principal Sharon Nanda felicitated the participants with mementos.

Principal Chakravarty also shared her perspectives on the social and environmental consequences of population growth and guided the students with her valuable inputs. She extended her gratitude to My Yuva Bharat and Yuva Mandal Bhadech for their efforts in organizing this meaningful awareness initiative.
