Industries Minister Harshwardhan Chauhan chaired the 10th meeting of the High Powered Committee (HPC) of the Himachal Pradesh Bulk Drug Park Infrastructure Limited (HPBDPIL), reviewing progress on prior decisions and addressing pre-bid concerns from potential bidders.
The session focused on queries related to the Rs. 300.28 crore tender for the design, construction, and commissioning of the park’s Common Steam System, including Turbine Power Generation and a Steam Distribution Network. Several companies participated virtually, with their queries resolved by the Committee to facilitate a smooth bidding process.
Chauhan reiterated the state government’s commitment to building world-class infrastructure to enhance competitiveness, reduce manufacturing costs, and support self-reliance in the pharmaceutical sector. The project is also expected to generate significant employment opportunities.
Dr. Yunus, Director Industries and MD-cum-CEO of the State Implementing Agency, presented recent developments of the Bulk Drug Park project. Senior officials, including Additional Chief Secretary (Industries) R.D. Nazeem, MD HPSIDC Richa Verma, and Additional CEO Tilak Raj Sharma, were also in attendance.
