District Magistrate Anupam Kashyap has instructed officers of the District Administration and Police Department to maintain strict vigilance to ensure law and order during the upcoming Himachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Monsoon Session, scheduled from August 18 to September 2, 2025. Chairing a meeting with sector officers at Bachat Bhawan, he emphasized the need for seamless coordination between all departments to ensure the smooth and secure conduct of the session. To enhance security management, the Vidhan Sabha and its surrounding areas have been divided into five sectors, each overseen by a designated sector officer. These sectors include Vidhan Sabha Complex and Chowk, Ambedkar Chowk near Cecil Hotel, and various stretches from Kennedy Chowk to Chaura Maidan and CTO. Senior Superintendent of Police Shimla, Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi, informed that a comprehensive security plan has been prepared, with detailed briefings conducted for all relevant police personnel. He added that internal and external surveillance will be tightened, and operations will be conducted in coordination with the CID. Present at the meeting were ADC Shimla Divyanshu, ADM Protocol Jyoti Rana, ADM Law and Order Pankaj Sharma, ASP Navdeep Singh, and other sector officers of the district administration and police.
