In the wake of continuing heavy rainfall across Himachal Pradesh, CM Sukhu has appealed to the public to strictly follow advisories issued by district administrations to ensure their safety.

The Chief Minister expressed deep condolences over the deaths of two pilgrims during the Manimahesh Yatra in Chamba district. Offering sympathies to the bereaved families, he assured that the State Government would extend all possible support during this difficult time. He also prayed for peace to the departed souls and strength to their families.

Due to adverse weather conditions, the Manimahesh pilgrimage has been temporarily suspended. The District Commissioners of Pathankot (Punjab) and Doda (Jammu and Kashmir) have been requested to hold pilgrims in their respective areas until weather conditions improve.

With the Meteorological Department issuing a warning of heavy rainfall over the next 24 hours, the Chief Minister strongly advised people to stay away from rivers and streams to prevent any untoward incidents.

CM Sukhu also directed district authorities to act swiftly in the event of landslides, road blockages, or flash floods, and to ensure uninterrupted access to essential services during emergencies.

The State Government continues to monitor the situation closely and urges citizens to prioritize safety during this period of heightened weather risk.
