Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri today announced that the Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) is continuing its free transport service to facilitate the safe return of pilgrims from the Mani Mahesh Yatra.

He informed that 6,647 pilgrims have already been transported to Pathankot and Kangra through 153 buses, completely free of charge. The initiative is part of the state government’s ongoing efforts to support devotees in the wake of the recent natural calamity.

Agnihotri emphasized that the convenience and safety of pilgrims is a top priority for the state government. He said that officials have been clearly directed to ensure that no passenger faces any hardship, and that appropriate arrangements are made to get everyone back home safely.

“In this hour of crisis, it is our collective responsibility to ensure the safe return of every pilgrim. The free HRTC service will continue until the last pilgrim reaches home,” he assured.

The government’s prompt response and continued support reflect its commitment to citizen welfare during challenging times, especially for those undertaking religious journeys.
