In a landmark initiative, 25 young Indians are set to transition from answering quiz questions online to experiencing the real-life grit and glory of Siachen, the world’s highest battlefield. Organized by the Department of Youth Affairs under the Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, this exposure visit is part of the MY Bharat (Mera Yuva Bharat) platform—an ambitious youth engagement initiative launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The selected youth, winners of the National Flag Quiz held from August 1–15, 2025, will embark on a 72-hour immersive visit to the Siachen Base Camp from September 28–30, 2025. During their stay, participants will engage directly with the Indian Army, gaining insights into military life, leadership, and the unparalleled challenges of serving in extreme conditions.

The program includes:

  • Briefings by Army personnel on operational, ecological, and geographical aspects of Siachen.

  • Visits to training areas and the war memorial.

  • Interactions with soldiers posted at the frontline.

  • Cultural immersion in Leh and exposure to local entrepreneurship and innovation.

Adding a deeply personal touch, each youth will carry a handwritten letter addressed to the Army, articulating their vision for a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) and expressing gratitude for the sacrifices made by the Armed Forces.

This initiative is not just a reward for quiz performance—it’s a nation-building exercise, aimed at instilling a sense of duty, patriotism, and leadership among India’s youth. With over 1.8 crore young people already connected through MY Bharat, the platform continues to serve as a catalyst for aligning youth energy with the nation’s developmental goals.

By bridging the digital spirit of learning with the lived experience of service and sacrifice, “From Quiz to Siachen” is preparing a new generation to lead India with courage, compassion, and conviction.
