The third day of St. Edward’s School’s centenary celebrations coincided with the Feast Day of its Patron Saint, St. Edward, and was observed with reverence, pride, and reflection under the theme “A Legacy That Endures.”

The day commenced with the hoisting of the school flag, followed by a ceremonial welcome led by the NCC cadets, who greeted a host of distinguished guests including Mr. Aniruddh, Bishop Sahaya, His Lordship Bishop Ignatius L. Mascarenhas, Rev. Fr. Ambrose, and Rev. Fr. Angulus. A vibrant march past by the NCC and the school band set a celebratory tone, blending tradition with youthful energy.

One of the most symbolic moments of the day was the Time Capsule Ceremony, a tribute to the past and a message for the future. This was followed by an impressive alumni march past accompanied by the Police Band, underscoring the lifelong bond between the school and its former students.

A formal handover of the school flag to the School Cabinet signified the passing on of leadership and responsibility to the next generation of Edwardians. The newly inaugurated Memorial Park paid homage to the school’s storied history and the many individuals who shaped it.

Creativity and community engagement were on full display through an Art Club exhibition and a vibrant Fête organised by the Outreach Club, showcasing student talent, innovation, and social awareness.

The evening cultural programme in the auditorium brought the day to a close with moving performances of music, dance, and messages rooted in faith, service, and excellence, encapsulating the school’s centenary journey.

The day concluded as a proud and heartfelt tribute to St. Edward’s enduring legacy — one that continues to inspire generations to uphold its values and carry its light forward.
