Launching a sharp offensive against the ruling Congress government in Himachal Pradesh, BJP state president Dr. Rajeev Bindal on Friday alleged that the Sukhu-led government is continuously setting new benchmarks in spreading misinformation and making false promises. He made these remarks while addressing a press conference in Nahan.
Dr. Bindal claimed that the alleged false narratives are not confined to the state alone but are being intentionally circulated across the country, including in Delhi and during Congress public meetings. Referring to a government-sponsored event in Mandi, he said the Chief Minister claimed that 7 out of 10 guarantees had been fulfilled, including the assurance of providing Rs 1,500 per month to women.
Questioning this assertion, Dr. Bindal asked why women in Sirmaur district have yet to receive the promised amount if the guarantee has indeed been implemented. He stated that nearly 28 lakh women were expected to start receiving Rs 1,500 per month from the first cabinet meeting itselfhttps://keekli.in/agnihotri-announces-hrtc-arrears-by-march-2026/ but alleged that not a single rupee has been transferred to their accounts so far. This, he said, highlights the wide gap between the government’s announcements and actual delivery.
He also drew attention to the state government’s milk procurement scheme, alleging that despite promises to purchase milk at Rs 100 per litre, not even a single litre has been procured in the past three years. According to him, such claims remain mere slogans, reflecting the government’s failure to act.
Describing the situation as an attempt to mislead the public, Dr. Bindal said that the people of Himachal Pradesh are now fully aware of the reality. He further termed the Congress government as lacking direction, leadership, and vision.
Additionally, he accused the Congress party of supporting illegal infiltrators who, he claimed, are misusing the country’s resources and rights. He said the party’s opposition to the Special SIR indicates a preference for appeasement politics over national interest.
Dr. Bindal asserted that the BJP will continue to expose what it views as the lies and shortcomings of the Congress government and expressed confidence that the people of Himachal Pradesh would respond appropriately through democratic means.
