CM Sukhu Speaks to Bereaved Family, Assures Swift Justice in Dharamshala College Case

Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has expressed deep grief and heartfelt condolences over the tragic demise of a young girl student of Government Degree College, Dharamshala. Demonstrating personal concern and solidarity, the Chief Minister spoke to the bereaved parents over the phone late Saturday evening to convey his sympathies and assure them of full support from the state government during this difficult time.

The telephonic conversation was facilitated by Minister for Youth Services and Sports Yadvinder Goma. During the interaction, CM Sukhu reiterated the government’s zero-tolerance stance against harassment and injustice and assured the family that every possible assistance would be extended to them.

The Chief Minister informed the family that an FIR has been registered against an Associate Professor and three fellow students in connection with the case. As an initial step to ensure a fair and impartial investigation, the Associate Professor has been placed under suspension, pending the outcome of the inquiry and disciplinary proceedings under the applicable service conduct rules.

CM Sukhu assured the family that the state government is committed to a transparent, rigorous and time-bound investigation. He reaffirmed that the government stands firmly with the family and will ensure that all those found responsible are held fully accountable under the law.
