Union Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Dr. Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, addressed a Rozgar Mela at ITBP RTC, Shivagangai, Tamil Nadu, reaffirming the government’s commitment to youth empowerment and employment generation. The event saw 148 candidates across departments such as ITBP, BSF, CISF, SSB, DFS (Union Bank of India), ISRO, and Assam Rifles receive appointment letters.

Speaking to the gathering, Dr. Chandra Sekhar emphasized that the Rozgar Mela goes beyond handing out job offers—it represents opportunities, dignity, and nation-building. He encouraged job seekers to seize the moment to learn, grow, and contribute to India’s journey toward becoming a global powerhouse.

Highlighting Tamil Nadu’s role in India’s economic growth, the Minister cited the state as a hub of talent and innovation, with Chennai contributing over 10% of India’s automobile exports and the IT sector employing more than six lakh professionals. He noted that skill development and entrepreneurship initiatives have empowered thousands, and the Rozgar Mela builds on this legacy.

Dr. Chandra Sekhar also shared key achievements under government initiatives, including Skill India, Make in India, Digital India, and reforms like PM Mudra Yojana, Ease of Doing Business, and Vocal for Local. In the telecom sector, Production Linked Incentive (PLI) schemes have generated 25,000 manufacturing jobs and exports worth ₹13,000 crore.

On national security, he highlighted India’s transition from import dependence to self-reliance in defence manufacturing, creating high-skill jobs while strengthening the armed forces.

Urging newly appointed candidates to contribute actively to India’s vision of Viksit Bharat by 2047, Dr. Chandra Sekhar stressed transparency, speed, and empathy in governance. He concluded by emphasizing that India’s growth is inclusive, ensuring dignity and opportunities for all.
