Young Leader, Big Win: AHSB Student Clinches National Silver

Auckland House School for Boys (AHSB), Shimla, celebrated a proud moment as Class X student Sourish Thakur successfully captained the Himachal Pradesh Under-15 Tug of War team to a Silver Medal at the National Tug of War Championship, held at Shirgaon Beach, Palghar, Maharashtra, from January 28–30, 2026.

In his role as team leader, Sourish displayed outstanding leadership, determination, and sportsmanship, steering the team to an impressive finish at the national stage.

Commending the achievement, Principal Reuben T. John remarked
“Sourish’s accomplishment showcases his commitment, discipline, and leadership skills. We are extremely proud of his success and wish him the very best in his future sporting journey. Achievements like these encourage our students to pursue excellence in both academics and sports.”

The entire school community—including the management, teachers, and students—warmly congratulated Sourish Thakur for earning distinction for the school and the state of Himachal Pradesh.
