In a major push to adventure tourism, the Himachal Pradesh Government led by Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has approved the development of what is set to become Asia’s longest zipline at Naddi in the scenic Dhauladhar valley of Kangra district.

The ambitious 4.3-kilometre Naddi Zipline Project, estimated at ₹7.41 crore, is planned as a landmark attraction designed to boost tourism in the region. The project will include four stations — Gallu (starting point), Ball village, Naddi, and Maggie Point Khad (terminating point) — offering visitors an immersive aerial experience amid the breathtaking Dhauladhar mountain ranges.

The zipline will be developed at the popular Naddi View Point in Dharamshala, known for its panoramic views. The project is expected to be completed within 36 months.

Once operational, the initiative is projected to significantly strengthen tourism infrastructure in Kangra, attract adventure enthusiasts, create employment opportunities, and stimulate local economic growth.

Highlighting the broader vision, the Chief Minister noted that the district has been designated as the “Tourism Capital” of Himachal Pradesh, with multiple initiatives underway to promote sustainable tourism and infrastructure development across the region.
