Chairman of Himachal Pradesh Grameen Bank, Rajinder Singh, today presented a cheque of ₹14.15 lakh to Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu as a contribution to the Aapada Rahat Kosh. The amount represents one day’s salary contributed by the bank’s employees. Earlier, the bank had also donated ₹19.80 lakh to the relief fund.
Expressing gratitude for the generous gesture, the Chief Minister said such contributions play a vital role in supporting people affected during times of distress. He also appealed to the public to come forward and contribute generously to the fund.
Chairman of the H.P. Buildings and Other Constructions Workers Welfare Board, Nardev Kanwar, and Senior Manager of the bank, Manjeet Singh Gathania, were present on the occasion.
