Jaypee University of Information Technology (JUIT), Waknaghat, marked 25 years of excellence by hosting a press meet at its campus in Solan. Over the years, the university has built a strong reputation in technical education, research, and innovation, contributing to Himachal Pradesh’s emergence as a quality education hub.
Addressing the media, university officials highlighted JUIT’s commitment to academic excellence, modern infrastructure, and a vibrant campus environment. Vice Chancellor Prof. Rajendra Kumar Sharma emphasized the institution’s focus on research, innovation, and entrepreneurship, supported by initiatives like the Directorate of Research and Innovation and the Ramanujan Supercomputing Facility.
The university showcased key achievements, including a state-of-the-art Drobotics Lab and student participation in national-level competitions like Surya Dronathon 2025. JUIT has also earned NAAC A+ accreditation and improved its global standing with rankings in THE and QS frameworks.
In placements, JUIT recorded a 95% success rate in 2025, with the highest package touching ₹50 LPA and average salaries rising to ₹7.19 LPA. Leading companies such as Google, Amazon, Infosys, and Cognizant recruited students, reflecting strong industry trust. The university has also secured over 55 patents and maintains active collaborations with national and international institutions.
JUIT continues to play a vital role in regional development by producing skilled graduates, reducing student migration, and attracting talent nationwide.
