Loreto Convent Tara Hall organised a spirited marathon for students of Classes V to XII on Saturday, drawing active participation from parents as well. Centred on the theme “Steps that Heal the World,” the event highlighted the importance of physical health, emotional well-being, and togetherness within the school community.

The marathon saw parents running alongside their children, adding to the sense of motivation and unity. Students were divided into groups based on their classes. Participants from Classes V to VIII began their run from Cecil Hotel to Tara Hall via Fingask, while students of Classes IX to XII started from the Indian Institute of Advanced Study, following the same route.

Runners demonstrated enthusiasm, resilience, and strong sportsmanship throughout the event. Teachers and volunteers were positioned along the route to assist participants, and medical support was arranged to ensure safety. The course was lined with cheering spectators, creating an encouraging environment.

The run concluded at the school premises, where refreshments were distributed. At a prize distribution ceremony held on Gonzaga Terrace, the Principal awarded certificates to all participants and presented medals to the top performers.

The marathon served as more than just a sporting activity, reinforcing the importance of health, mutual care, and community bonding among students, parents, and teachers.
