KEEKLI is a journey which was embarked on to bring about a new hope in education, health and social welfare. We are a non-profit organization established with the aim of committed work in the field of children’s education, health, environment, women empowerment, hygiene and other social welfare schemes.
The Keekli venture commenced in the year 2013 with the launch of www.keekli.in, an online magazine for children. Its first print edition was launched on 1 August, 2015. In the past six years, the webzine has come a long way. The webzine also won a cash award of Rs 50,000/-for encouragement in Best Women Entrepreneur Category, held by Viridian Group in 2015 for start-ups with innovative ideas. Hence, Keekli has always led from the front in all the endeavours it ever believed in.
The various activities undertaken by the webzine, led to the formation of KEEKLI CHARITABLE TRUST, with the clear vision of carrying forward the torch lighted by the innovative children’s newspaper that has its roots in the small hill town of Shimla.
The Trust which is an off shoot of the magazine, envisions working through well-planned and comprehensive programmes in the above- mentioned fields. The overall goal is a sustainable impact on health, education, empowerment of girls, environment and hygiene.
Our aim is to act as catalysts to bring about an effective social transformation. We believe that unless people in general are proactively involved in welfare projects, it is difficult to spearhead a campaign such as this. We do understand that the task at hand cannot be done in isolation. So, we intend to pilot several projects that can only be realized with contribution from the ilk of us. We aim to sensitize and involve more and more people in our endeavours.
