Jaypee University of Information Technology successfully organized “JUIT: An AI Odyssey,” a first-of-its-kind AI-driven storytelling competition that blended artificial intelligence, creativity, and immersive digital experiences. Conducted under the leadership of Honorable CEO Manu Bhaskar Gaur, the event provided students with a unique platform to demonstrate technical expertise and imaginative storytelling capabilities.
Centered on the theme “Make the User a Part of the JUIT Story through AI Characters & Interactive Storytelling,” the competition challenged participants to create interactive experiences that virtually portrayed “A Day in the Life at JUIT.” Students designed AI-powered storytelling environments featuring conversational AI, voice synthesis, animations, visual storytelling, and interactive decision-making pathways.
The competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral students, with 20 teams registering for the event. Participants leveraged advanced AI and creative technologies such as ChatGPT, ElevenLabs, Midjourney, Runway, Unity, Unreal Engine, and various web-based frameworks to transform their ideas into interactive prototypes.
After multiple evaluation rounds, five teams advanced to the grand finale, where they presented their AI-driven storytelling systems before an expert jury comprising Prof. Tiratha Raj Singh, Dr. Hari Singh, and Saurav Kumar Singh. Entries were judged on innovation, creativity, technical depth, narrative quality, interactivity, and overall user experience.
The First Prize was awarded to the Cognitive Creators Team — Siddhant Sharma, Ankush Bhunia, Viksit Taran, and Vishal Thakur — for their outstanding integration of AI technologies and immersive storytelling. The Second Prize was secured by the Jaadoo Team, comprising Kartikeya Bharatwaj and Aditya Singh, for their creative and technically refined presentation. The Third Prize was jointly awarded to Llama 4.0 (Devansh Kalia and Arsh Sharma) and RajmaChawal (Nandini Garg, Saarvi Sharma, Saransh Agarwal, and Khushi Goel) for their innovative and competitive submissions.
Awards and certificates were presented by Honorable Vice Chancellor Prof. R.K. Sharma, who congratulated participants for their exceptional efforts and highlighted the growing significance of artificial intelligence, creativity, and interdisciplinary innovation in shaping the future of education and technology.
The event was coordinated by PhD scholars Kunal and Akshita Chaudhary under the mentorship of Prof. Tiratha Raj Singh, whose guidance ensured the smooth execution of the competition.
“JUIT: An AI Odyssey” emerged as a landmark initiative demonstrating how artificial intelligence can redefine storytelling, digital engagement, and experiential learning. The event further reinforced JUIT’s commitment to promoting innovation, research, and next-generation technological creativity among students while paving the way for future AI-enabled educational experiences.
