Auckland House School commemorated its 160th year with a landmark academic celebration featuring the launch of The Altiora Discourse and The Symposium of Ideas, alongside a distinguished visit by Dr. Joseph Emmanuel, Chief Executive and Secretary of the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE).
Dr. Emmanuel participated in The Altiora Discourse, themed “The Architecture of Academics in the Age of Acceleration,” engaging with educators and students in a meaningful dialogue on the future of education in a rapidly evolving world. His presence added significance to the milestone event, reinforcing the school’s commitment to academic excellence and forward-looking educational thought.
The occasion also saw the release of The Symposium of Ideas, an academic journal marking 160 years of Auckland House School. The publication brings together scholarly reflections and educational perspectives, highlighting the institution’s dedication to intellectual engagement and academic discourse.
During his visit, Dr. Emmanuel toured Auckland House School for Boys, interacting with students and faculty while gaining insight into the school’s holistic learning environment. He appreciated the institution’s emphasis on academic rigor, character formation, innovation, and service.
The discourse featured participation from senior school leaders, faculty members, and student representatives, moderated by Chriselle Fernandes.
