SDM Office & 24/7 Healthcare: Major Governance Boost for Dadasiba

CM Sukhu announced the establishment of a new Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) office at Dadasiba in the Jaswan-Pragpur assembly constituency of Kangra district and the provision of 24-hour medical facilities at the Kasba Kotla Community Health Centre (CHC). On this occasion, the Chief Minister directly transferred financial assistance of ₹3,500 each into the bank accounts of 1,012 fisher families via DBT under the ‘Mukhyamantri Matsya Samman Nidhi Yojana’. Additionally, he inaugurated a newly constructed Primary Health Centre building in Bari built at a cost of ₹95 lakh and laid the foundation stones for a science block at Dadasiba School, a health sub-centre at Aloh, and various road construction projects.

Addressing the gathering, the Chief Minister outlined key welfare initiatives launched for the state’s comprehensive and balanced development. He announced that the ‘Mukhyamantri Ka Apna Parivar Sukhi Parivar Yojana’ will be launched from Solan district on October 2, providing women from 90,000 selected underprivileged families with a monthly pension of ₹1,500 and 300 units of free electricity. Furthermore, financial aid for rebuilding houses for families affected by the 2023 disaster has been increased to ₹8 lakh. Emphasizing education and health reforms, he shared that 156 CBSE schools have been opened across the state and a target has been set to ensure 90% staff strength across all medical colleges by December 2026.

Taking a firm stance against corruption, the Chief Minister stated that the cancellation of 5,000 bighas of land allotted without registration during the previous BJP government in the Baddi area is under consideration. He also ordered comprehensive inquiries into irregularities detected in the Himcare scheme and benami transactions during the Kangra airport expansion. State Planning Board Deputy Chairman Bhawani Singh Pathania, local MLA Sanjay Rattan, and Congress leader Surender Mankotia also attended the event, praising historic decisions like implementing MSP for natural farming and enacting legislation for the welfare of orphaned children.
