CM Sukhu chaired an Education Department review meeting, announcing the introduction of a mandatory three-time daily attendance system—at arrival, lunch break, and checkout—across 150 CBSE-affiliated government schools in Himachal Pradesh. To further enhance professionalism and discipline, separate dress codes will be established for teachers and students. The dress code for teachers will take effect on October 1, supported by a one-time grant of ₹5,000 for each teacher to purchase the uniform, while the student uniform policy will be finalized within a week.

To bolster educational quality in rural areas, the state government has already deployed 1,200 teachers to these institutions, with additional recruitment planned. Furthermore, CM Sukhu sanctioned an extra ₹80 crore to upgrade school infrastructure and facilities for both students and staff. He instructed the Education Department to strictly enforce these measures to ensure high-standard education is accessible close to students’ homes.
