Marking the third day of Sharad Navratri, Governor Kavinder Gupta led a traditional yajna at Lok Bhavan, offering prayers for the peace, prosperity, and steady progress of Himachal Pradesh alongside staff and officials.
Extending festive greetings, the Governor noted that Sharad Navratri honors the nine manifestations of Goddess Durga, praying that her divine blessings instill strength, courage, and well-being across the state. Given Himachal Pradesh’s rich heritage of revered Shakti Peethas, he prayed for protection from natural disasters and a future of rapid, inclusive development.
Turning his focus to youth development, Governor Gupta stressed that character-building and strong moral foundations are vital for societal progress. He urged parents and educators to instill discipline, responsibility, and strong values in children from a young age, emphasizing that today’s youth will serve as the backbone of a Viksit Bharat (Developed India).
The celebrations concluded with the Governor distributing prasad to devotees at a community feast (bhandara) hosted at Lok Bhavan.
