In a touching tribute to Himachal’s rich theatrical talent, Governor Kavindra Gupta opened the doors of Lok Bhavan to host a high tea reception for the artists of Chandranahan Rangmanch, Rohru, celebrating their spellbinding performance at the historic Gaiety Theatre.
The troupe recently took the stage with ‘Mukhautasur’—a play adapted from senior writer S.R. Harnot’s acclaimed novel ‘Hidimba’. Their powerful portrayal wove such an evocative atmosphere that the Governor stayed mesmerized late into the night, deeply touched by the emotional resonance of the narrative.
During an informal chat, Governor Gupta reminisced about his own college days in one-act plays, noting that he well understands the sweat and passion behind every scene. As a gesture of encouragement, he announced a ₹51,000 award for the group. Play director Krish Bharti and the young cast shared behind-the-scenes stories and their future artistic projects with the Governor.
