Addressing the ‘Virasat-2026’ annual celebration at Dalhousie Hilltop School, Governor Kavinder Gupta called for a seamless integration of traditional Indian values with cutting-edge science and technology. He reminded students that heritage is defined not only by historical legacies, but by the conscious choices, character, and contributions made by the present generation. Referring to NEP-2020, he stated that education should build practical problem-solving abilities, creativity, and civic responsibility, ensuring that youth are well-equipped to contribute toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of Viksit Bharat@2047.

Highlighting the transformative potential of Artificial Intelligence, STEM learning, and digital tools for students in mountainous regions like Himachal Pradesh, Governor Gupta stressed that technical capability must be grounded in moral responsibility. He specifically urged the student community to act as conscious guardians of the Himalayan ecology by taking proactive steps to protect land, water, and forests. He remarked that true success is reflected in integrity, societal contribution, and environmental care rather than numerical marks alone.

The Governor congratulated the administration, faculty, and parents on achieving a 100 percent pass rate in the CBSE Class X board exams. He felicitated Class XII student Akshit Kumar for securing the top position in Chamba district with 98.8 percent, as well as star performer Ali Akbar from Ladakh. Recognizing the contributions of school founder I.M. Dhawan, Managing Director Dr. Sudhir Dhawan, and Chairperson Dr. Poonam Rai Dhawan, the Governor accepted the traditional honors presented by the management and lauded the vibrant student cultural presentations that marked the occasion.
