CM Sukhu inaugurated and laid foundation stones for 26 development projects worth ₹175 crore in the Bharmour assembly constituency of Chamba district, speaking at a major public gathering in Lilh Kothi. Among the key inaugurations was the newly constructed Model Degree College at Lilh Kothi built for ₹14.46 crore, alongside road upgradation projects such as the Bharmour-Badgram via Gaagal to Luni road and the Sirdi to Supa road. The Chief Minister also announced ₹18 crore for the construction of the Holi-Utrala road and declared CBSE affiliation for schools in Lilh, Mehla, Bharmour, Sunara, and Holi starting from the next academic session.
Highlighting the state government’s commitment to Vyavastha Parivartan (systemic change), the Chief Minister noted that the administration has prioritized strengthening the rural economy through focused initiatives in agriculture, horticulture, and rural employment. He detailed how the government successfully managed the devastating natural disaster from his early tenure—evacuating over 75,000 tourists and raising housing reconstruction aid from ₹1.50 lakh to ₹8.50 lakh from its own resources—despite receiving no financial assistance from the Central Government. Furthermore, foundation stones were laid for numerous road connectivity projects, a 30-bedded hospital building at CHC Choori, and a new sub-tehsil building in Dharwala to boost local infrastructure.
