Students and staff of North Oak Public School, Sanjauli, celebrated Baisakhi with great zeal and enthusiasm. A special assembly was held to mark the occasion. The celebrations began with a speech by students of Class I and II, followed by a dance performance. The whole school came alive with the Bhangra beat performance by students of Class I and II. Jubilant kids of kindergarten celebrated Baisakhi by dancing on tunes of Punjabi dhol.
School Principal Namita Lal conveyed her best wishes to the students for their bright future and told them about importance of the festivals. Later, a theme based colouring competition “Happy Baisakhi” was organized for students. The motive behind the celebration was to apprise the children of their rich cultural heritage as the day ended on a happy note, full of joy and learning for students.
