Government to provide all facilities to the orphans: Dhani Ram Shandil

A review meeting of a state level committee formed under Mukhyamantri Sukh-Ashray Kosh was held under the chairmanship of Health, Social Justice and Empowerment Minister Dr. (Col.) Dhani Ram Shandil. In the meeting, the Health Minister said that the state government was committed towards the welfare of the orphans and women, including the vulnerable sections of the society. He said that Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu started the Mukhya Mantri Sukh-Ashray Yojana and Sukh-Ashray Kosh of Rs. 100 crore immediately after the formation of the government.

In the meeting, various facilities being provided to destitute children under the scheme were reviewed and applications received in relation to education and marriage grant were approved. In the meeting, applications for construction of house, skill development, vocational training and start-up under the scheme were also reviewed.

Secretary Social Justice and Empowerment Ashish Singhmar, Director Women and Child Development Rupali Thakur, Director Scheduled Caste, Other Backward Classes and Specially Abled Kiran Bhadana along with senior officers of various departments were present in the meeting.
