Chief Minister Thakur Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has felicitated Nishad Kumar of Una district on winning silver medal in high jump in the Paralympics Games being held at Paris.
The Chief Minister said that it was a proud moment for the people that the young lad of the State has brought laurels to the country by performing stupendously in the event.
He said that this remarkable feat of Nishad Kumar is a testament of his hard work, dedication and passion for the sport. He expressed hope that the achievement of Nishad Kumar will inspire young generations of the State to strive hard to excel in their respective fields.
Sukhu said that the State Government was providing all possible assistance to the sportspersons in the State to earn name for the country as well as the State by their excellent performances.
