On the occasion of World Tourism Day, the NCC cadets of Government Girls Senior Secondary School (GGSSS) Solan took to the streets, organizing a cleanliness awareness rally that highlighted the cultural and environmental importance of India’s rivers. The event, themed “Bhartiya Nadiya: Sanskritiyo ki Jananni” (Indian Rivers: The Mother of Cultures), aimed to educate the public about the significance of preserving our rivers, both culturally and environmentally.

Flagged off by Principal Ms. Lakshmi Shyam, the rally saw the active participation of nearly 90 cadets who marched through the iconic Mall Road in Solan. The cadets were accompanied by Subedar Major Surender Singh and Havaldar Chandan, who led the rally, ensuring the message of cleanliness and environmental preservation reached the public.

This event was organized under the guidance of Colonel Sanjay Shandil, Commanding Officer of 1 HP Girls Battalion NCC, Solan, with support from ANO Alpa Malik.
