Request for Permanent Exhibit Space in Shimla

Dr. Rajender Attri and Anshuk Attri, members of HPG Educational Trust, met with Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla at Raj Bhavan today.

Educational Exhibit Highlighting Himachal’s History

The trust members apprised the Governor about their educational exhibit focusing on:

  • Contributions of Dr. Y.S. Parmar
  • Freedom movements in Himachal Pradesh
  • The state’s rich historical legacy

Governor Appreciates the Initiative

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla commended the trust for its efforts in honouring Himachal’s unsung freedom fighters through the exhibit. He also praised their initiative to start a photo gallery dedicated to Dr. Y.S. Parmar.

Proposal for a Permanent Exhibit Space

The trust requested the Governor to allocate space in either Municipal Corporation Town Hall or Bantony Castle to establish a permanent exhibit. This would provide students, locals, and tourists an opportunity to learn about Himachal Pradesh’s history.

Reference Book on Dr. Parmar Published by the Trust

The trust has recently published a reference book detailing Himachal’s history from 1948 to 1952, emphasizing Dr. Parmar’s pivotal contributions during that period.

Future Plans for Awareness and Education

The HPG Educational Trust aims to further its mission of promoting awareness about Himachal Pradesh’s freedom movements and historical figures by making this exhibit accessible to the public.
