The Department of Digital Technologies and Governance has announced that mandatory biometric update camps will be held in both government and private schools across the state starting April 20, 2026. The initiative is being carried out in coordination with the Department of School Education and Samagra Shiksha.
According to an official spokesperson, the camps aim to facilitate the mandatory Aadhaar biometric update for children who have reached the ages of five and 15 years. As per UIDAI guidelines, children must update their fingerprints, iris scans, and photographs at these stages to maintain the accuracy and validity of their Aadhaar records.
The camps will be conducted in a phased, district-wise manner in schools throughout the state. Students and parents have been urged to cooperate with school authorities and camp teams to ensure timely completion of the process.
Parents and guardians are advised to ensure that children bring a copy of their Aadhaar card, a mobile number linked to Aadhaar (preferably) and be present if required.
The spokesperson emphasized that parents should make full use of this facility and complete the mandatory biometric updates within the given timeframe to avoid inconvenience in accessing Aadhaar-based services in the future.
