The Administration at Your Doorstep programme was organised today at Banuti under the Shimla Rural Sub-Division of Shimla district. During the programme, Sub-Divisional Magistrate (Shimla Rural) Manjeet Sharma, along with other departmental officers, listened to the grievances of local residents and ensured on-the-spot redressal of their issues.

Addressing the gathering, SDM Manjeet Sharma said that the State Government has launched the Administration at Your Doorstep initiative to spare people the inconvenience of repeatedly visiting government offices for their work. He added that the programme aims to resolve public issues at their doorstep in a time-bound manner. Residents were encouraged to place issues related to electricity, drinking water, revenue, roads, and other civic services before the officers for immediate resolution.

During the programme, more than 60 mutation cases (Intikals) pertaining to about seven Patwar circles were also settled on the spot, providing significant relief to the beneficiaries.

Tehsildar Shimla Rural Sanjeev Gupta, Block Development Officer, Panchayat Pradhans and Up-Pradhans, along with other representatives of Panchayati Raj Institutions, were present on the occasion.
