Arena Animation Institute, Shimla organised an animation camp in their premises on 7th June, 2014. The camp was held by Meenakshi Sharma, Manager of the institute. The Arena Animation camp is a series of free workshops cum demo classes held across the country to create awareness and general interest about Animation and the Multimedia industry. It also focuses on rewarding job-opportunities and how students can carve a successful career for themselves in the industry. The camp provided every bit of information to the participants about the amazing world of animation and its vast scopes.
Certificates of participation were awarded to all the students present in the camp. Most of the students came to know about the camp through the Education Expo – 2014 that took place in Gaiety Theatre, Shimla recently. Presently there are 50 students in the institute pursuing different courses.
The institute offers courses such as Arena Animation International Program, Graphic Design, Digital FX, Video Editing and much more. Meenakshi Sharma informed us about the key topics of the camp and said, “This camp has been organised to inform the participants about the scope of animation. Today Indian and international movies use 2D and 3D animations extensively to create world class movie experiences for the audience. International studios are also outsourcing their animation work to India, thus making India an international content hub of cinema. At our Institute, we give students a thorough grounding in all the fundamentals and techniques of animation”.
Rohin Verma, a participant in the camp said, “I came to know about the camp through the Education Expo – 2014. I had a lot of queries regarding different courses in animation and its future prospects”. Another participant Atul who is also pursuing BSc Animation from the institute said, “I have been studying in this institute since last three months. My experience so far has been really good. It is very interesting to create amazing 2D and 3D short films and dazzling animation”.
