In a move aimed at enhancing preventive healthcare and overall well-being of security personnel, the Ministry of Ayush has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) under the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The partnership focuses on promoting Ayush-based healthcare practices, including yoga, stress management, and holistic wellness for CISF personnel and their families.

The MoU was signed by Dr. A. Raghu, Adviser (Ayush), and Pratibha Agarwal, Inspector General (Administration), CISF Headquarters, in the presence of senior officials such as Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, and Praveer Ranjan, Director General, CISF.

Under this collaboration, both organisations will work together to expand awareness programmes, wellness initiatives, and lifestyle management practices based on Ayush systems. The plan also includes introducing Ayush-based outpatient services at CISF units wherever possible.

The Ministry of Ayush will provide technical expertise, develop wellness modules, and offer guidance through its institutions and research bodies, while CISF will ensure implementation across its establishments.

This initiative is expected to integrate traditional healthcare systems into the daily routine of security personnel, improving their health, resilience, and quality of life. The agreement will remain effective for five years.
