The Ministry of Ayush, in collaboration with the All India Ayurvedic Congress, will organise the four-day National Arogya Fair 2026 from 25 to 28 February 2026 at Shegaon, District Buldhana. The Fair will be inaugurated by the President of India, Droupadi Murmu, on 25 February at Visava Maidan, Sant Gajanan Maharaj Sansthan, Shegaon. The event will also be attended by the Governor of Maharashtra, Union Minister of Ayush Prataprao Jadhav, senior officials, and other dignitaries.

The Fair aims to expand public access to Ayush-based preventive and promotive healthcare. Visitors will receive free consultations, health check-ups, and medicines across Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa, and Homeopathy. The programme will also feature yoga demonstrations, expert lectures, therapy showcases, and exhibitions by leading Ayush institutions and industry stakeholders.

A key highlight is the focus on medicinal plant cultivation for farmers. On 27 February at 3:00 PM, a dedicated session on “Ayurvedic Farming: Production, Value Addition and Marketing” will provide guidance on agroforestry, post-harvest management, and market linkages. The initiative encourages farmers in Buldhana and the wider Vidarbha region to diversify into medicinal crops, creating sustainable income opportunities and strengthening supply chains for the Ayush sector.

Union Minister Shri Prataprao Jadhav urged farmers, youth, and self-help groups to participate actively and explore opportunities in medicinal plant-based agriculture alongside conventional farming.

The National Arogya Fair 2026 aims to be a convergence platform for healthcare, knowledge sharing, and rural livelihood enhancement, highlighting the role of Ayush systems in public health and economic development. Citizens, farmers, students, and healthcare professionals from Maharashtra and neighbouring states are encouraged to attend and benefit from the programmes and services offered during the four-day event.
