The Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Sciences (CCRAS), under the Ministry of Ayush, has launched a national Call for Expression of Interest (EoI) for startups under the Ayurvedic Sciences Incubation Centre (ASIC) at its Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI), Bengaluru. This initiative, part of the Ministry’s “Startup Incubation through Ayush Institutions” scheme, aims to support entrepreneurial ventures in Ayurveda with mentorship, funding, and regulatory guidance.

Prataprao Jadhav, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush, highlighted, “ASIC will empower young innovators to translate classical knowledge into contemporary healthcare solutions, strengthening India’s position as a global hub for integrative healthcare.”

Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, added, “ASIC reflects the Government’s focus on building a robust startup ecosystem in the Ayush sector, providing scientific mentorship, financial guidance, and regulatory support to accelerate high-quality, research-backed Ayurveda products.”

Prof. Rabinarayan Acharya, Director General, CCRAS, called on entrepreneurs to leverage CARI Bengaluru’s strong clinical research, drug standardisation, and medicinal plant studies to contribute to a sustainable and innovation-driven Ayurveda industry.

CARI Bengaluru, a peripheral institute of CCRAS and a Centre of Excellence in Madhumeha (Diabetes), houses NABH- and NABL-accredited facilities and functions as a Peripheral Pharmacovigilance Centre, reinforcing its credibility as a premier research and incubation hub.

The ASIC initiative connects startups with researchers, investors, industry leaders, and policymakers, promoting research-based product development, commercialization of novel Ayurvedic solutions, and industry–academia collaboration.

Application Process: Interested innovators can apply online in three steps—register on the portal, complete the dashboard profile, and submit the incubation application detailing the problem statement, proposed solution, and supporting documents. The last date for submission is 25 March 2026. Apply at: https://ASIC.ccras.org.in.
