Addressing the 31st National Session of the Bharatiya Yuva Sansad in Jaipur on International Day of Democracy, Governor Kavinder Gupta urged youth to embrace constitutional values and drive nation-building. Emphasizing that young citizens are active stakeholders in today’s democracy, he welcomed student delegates from 26 states gathered to deliberate on the ‘Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam’.
Reflecting on his association with the initiative since 1999, the Governor termed the platform a “nursery for future leadership.” He pointed to India’s ancient roots of participative governance, citing Vedic traditions like the ‘Sabha’ and ‘Samiti’. Quoting former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, he underscored that while political differences are natural, national interest must always remain paramount.
Highlighting women’s empowerment, Governor Gupta praised the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam as a monumental step toward strengthening women’s political representation under PM Modi’s leadership. He noted that achieving ‘Viksit Bharat@2047’ demands the collective resolve of youth, women, farmers, scientists, and entrepreneurs.
Touching upon global affairs, he stated that the BRICS Summit in New Delhi demonstrated India’s strategic autonomy and diplomatic strength. India has transitioned into a global unifier through dialogue, further validated by widespread international support for its permanent seat on the UN Security Council.
