Chief Minister Meets the Top Management of Indian and German Defence Manufacturing Companies

Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur had a meeting with Ashish Kansal, the executive director of SMPP, a Indian Defence Manufacturing Company and its German partner company Rheinmetal SA’s Chief Executive Officer Jan Patrick Helmsen, Senior Executive Officer Willem Erasmus and General Manager (plant engineering) JS du Toit here today morning at Oakover. The Chief Minister had a discussion with these representatives and high officials of both the companies regarding the proposed investment in Baddi-Barotiwala-Nalagarh, the industrial hub of Himachal Pradesh. These companies are going to set up a plant in Nalagarh for defence manufacturing. Principal Secretary Industries RD Nazeem, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Subhashish Panda, Director Industries Rakesh Kumar Prajapati, Additional Director Tilak Raj Sharma and other officers were also present on the occasion.
