Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur has urged the people of the state to participate in Har Ghar Tiranga programme by hoisting the Tricolor on their home from 13th August to 15th August, 2022. He said that people could also pin a flag online and upload a selfie with the flag on the official website of Har Ghar Tiranga. Jai Ram Thakur said that the Indian National Flag was a symbol of national pride for the entire nation. He said that our relationship with the flag has always been more formal and institutional than personal. He said that bringing the flag home collectively as a nation in the 75th year of independence thus becomes symbolic of not only an act of personal connection to the Tiranga but also an embodiment of our commitment to nation-building. The idea behind the initiative is to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the people and promote a sense of nationalism among the general public, he added.

The Central Government has launched the programme of ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ under Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. It envisages inspiring Indians everywhere to hoist the national flag at their home. People can also express their commitment to the nation by pinning a flag on official website harghartiranga.com by completing four easy steps. Firstly one has to click on Pin a Flag option, then by social login fill in the details. After allowing location access in step three the participant will be able to pin a flag on his or her location. The people will get featured in Digital Tiranga art by uploading a selfie with a flag on this website.
