Deputy CM Pushes for Timely Water Project Execution

Deputy CM Mukesh Agnihotri on Thursday evening chaired the first meeting of the Water Resources Department’s Screening Committee for the financial year 2025-26. During the meeting, he reviewed departmental schemes and development works with officials and assessed the progress of ongoing water supply and irrigation projects across the state. He instructed officers to expedite work and ensure timely completion of all projects.

Discussing water supply schemes, irrigation projects, and other departmental proposals in detail, the Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that the primary goal of the Water Resources Department’s initiatives is to provide clean drinking water to all citizens and improved irrigation facilities for farmers.

He further directed officers not to remain confined to their offices but to regularly inspect ongoing projects on-site, resolving issues at the ground level to ensure efficient implementation.
