The 133 Infantry Battalion (TA) Eco Dogra has issued a recruitment notification for ex-servicemen and ex-women employees associated with the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change and the Himachal Pradesh State Forest Department. The enrolment drive is scheduled to take place on 19 May 2026.

The recruitment rally will be conducted at Jutogh Military Cantonment, where eligible candidates must report at 5:30 AM for screening, which includes physical fitness tests and interviews. The battalion is currently stationed in Kufri.

A total of 23 vacancies have been announced, including positions for Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO), Soldier General Duty, and various trades such as steward, washerman, blacksmith, and nursing assistant. While JCO and Soldier GD roles are reserved for candidates domiciled in Himachal Pradesh, tradesmen posts are open on an all-India basis.

Applicants must be ex-servicemen receiving a pension or ex-women employees (including premature retirees) from the specified departments with a minimum of 20 years of service. Candidates are required to meet strict eligibility criteria, including exemplary or very good character, medical fitness under SHAPE-1 category, and prescribed physical standards.

Male candidates will undergo a physical fitness test comprising a 1.6 km run, pull-ups, zig-zag balance, and ditch jump. Female candidates will be assessed through proficiency tests related to afforestation and nursery management. Tradesmen will also be evaluated based on trade-specific skills.

Selected candidates will serve for 8–10 months annually, with a break period of 2–4 months, as per the discretion of the Commanding Officer. Age limits and rank eligibility will vary depending on prior service, with ex-JCOs eligible up to 55 years and ex-other ranks up to 50 years.

Candidates must bring all required documents, including Pension Payment Order (PPO), discharge book, domicile certificate, educational certificates, character certificate, and passport-size photographs, in both original and photocopy form. Failure to produce these documents will result in disqualification from the recruitment process.
