CSIR-National Institute of Science Communication and Policy Research (NIScPR) has commenced the third International Conference on Communication and Dissemination of Traditional Knowledge (CDTK-2026) at CSIR-NPL in New Delhi. Inaugurating the first day of the event, NITI Aayog Member Dr. Joram Aniya lauded indigenous practices as resilient societal models and emphasized their role in shaping policies for Viksit Bharat. The opening proceedings featured the release of critical knowledge assets, including the conference souvenir, the third volume of SVASTIK Stories, and regional flipbooks in Assamese and Maithili.
Expert deliberations throughout the day spanned multiple scientific sessions, exploring reverse pharmacology, Ayurgenomics, and the validation of traditional practices through modern research. Key global and national voices—including representatives from WIPO, UNESCO, and the World Health Organization—stressed the importance of ethical dissemination, community consent, digital preservation via the Traditional Knowledge Digital Library (TKDL), and integrating AI responsibly. Alongside academic presentations and poster sessions, a vibrant exhibition pavilion showcased cutting-edge innovations and traditional knowledge products from CSIR laboratories.
