Governor Highlights AI in Mental Health

Governor Kavinder Gupta inaugurated the 51st National Conference on Clinical Psychology (NACIACP-2026) at Gautam Buddha University, Greater Noida, focusing on “Role of Artificial Intelligence in Mental Health.”

The Governor said AI can make mental health services more accessible, effective, and personalized, enabling early detection and timely treatment. He highlighted AI-powered platforms that analyze behavior, emotions, and language patterns to identify mental health issues and stressed that such technologies hold great promise for the future.

Gupta also noted government initiatives like Tele-MANAS, extending mental health support to remote areas, and emphasized integrating AI solutions with existing healthcare schemes while maintaining ethical standards, data privacy, and human empathy.

Vice-Chancellor Professor Rana P. Singh and speakers including Dr. Anand P. Singh, Professors Madhav Govind, Gauri Shankar Kaloia, Asha Srivastava, and Dr. Manoranjan Sahay highlighted the conference’s academic and historical significance. The Governor felicitated participants at the event.
