Governor Stresses Transparency, Sustainability

Principal Accountant General (Accounts & Entitlement) Sushil Thakur, along with Principal Accountant General (Audit) Purushottam Tiwari, called on Governor Kavinder Gupta at Lok Bhavan today in a courtesy meeting. During the discussion, they briefed the Governor on the functions and responsibilities of their offices, focusing on financial management, audits, and ensuring transparency and accountability in government spending. They also highlighted ongoing initiatives aimed at strengthening financial governance and improving efficiency in public financial administration. The Governor emphasized the importance of maintaining high standards of transparency, accountability, and effective auditing mechanisms to ensure prudent use of public resources and promote good governance.

In another courtesy call at Lok Bhavan, State Election Commissioner Anil Kumar Khachi and Chairman of Himachal Pradesh State Electricity Board Limited Prabodh Saxena met the Governor. The Chairman updated the Governor on the Board’s operations, ongoing power projects, and steps being taken to strengthen electricity distribution for uninterrupted supply. The Governor underscored the need for modern technologies and renewable energy adoption to meet growing energy demands sustainably.
