APPLICATION FORM FOR HEALTHY BABY COMPETITION
As part of the International Shimla Summer Festival 2026, the Department of Health and Family Welfare, District Shimla, in association with the festival organizing committee, will host a unique “Healthy Baby Competition – My Child, My Pride” aimed at promoting child health, nutrition, hygiene, and overall development.
Deputy Commissioner Shimla and Chairman of the International Shimla Summer Festival Organising Committee, Anupam Kashyap, said the competition will be held on June 10 at Rani Jhansi Park on The Ridge, Shimla, from 10 am to 2 pm.
Children will compete in three age groups — 0 to 12 months, 13 to 36 months, and 37 to 60 months — providing a platform to celebrate healthy growth and encourage greater awareness among parents about holistic child development.
Participants will be evaluated on a range of health and developmental indicators, including nutritional status, physical growth, developmental milestones, cognitive abilities, overall fitness, and personal hygiene. Medical examinations will also be conducted as part of the assessment process.
Parents must submit a photocopy of the child’s birth certificate and immunization/vaccination card for verification at the venue.
To encourage participation, organizers have announced attractive cash prizes. The winner will receive ₹25,000, while the second and third positions will be awarded ₹20,000 and ₹15,000, respectively.
The registration fee has been fixed at ₹10, and interested parents can register through the online form available via the QR code featured on the official event poster.
Appealing to parents across the district, the Deputy Commissioner urged them to participate enthusiastically and help spread the message of healthy, happy, and holistic child development through this special initiative.
